Layout Tuesday - School Is Cool Sketch & Example

Thank you for joining us for Layout Tuesday here at Creations Galore. We're excited to announce the arrival of the Hall Pass collection by We R Memory Keepers. There are so many amazing embellishments and papers in this collection that I can't wait for you to see, including pieces I didn't use in the layout below.

Now to the layout! This design is quite a simple one with many way to personalize it - Add shape and texture to the strips of patterned paper with edge punches, use oversized die cut or sticker letters that overlap onto the pictures in place of the 'school is cool' title, or replace the circle buttons with flowers or stickers.

The Hall Pass collection has a few pieces that made putting this layout together especially easy. The Pep Rally 12x12 double sided paper can be used as a background, but why not cut up the stripes and use them as individual elements. You'll see in the the layout above, we've used a few of the stripes. We even cut out the 'school is cool' piece to create a fun title. The flags on this layout were no work either! They were a part of the Hall Pass Embossed Stickers, along with a journaling spot for the date.

These buttons are my favorite piece in the collection! The 6 pack, at first glance, seems tricky to add to the page. Are they a metal pin, a brad... you're not sure looking at the packaging. To my surprise, they are self adhesive! Just pull off the white backing and place where desired.

This page can be put together in under 15 minutes leaving you plenty of time to work on other projects. What do you think of the first glance at this new collection?

We'd love to see your take on this sketch! Leave us a link to your project in the comments below or post it to our Facebook page.
