We Recommend: The Scor-Pal

At Creations Galore, we create a lot of cards. Which means we SCORE a lot of cards. That led us to this week's product recommendation: THE SCOR-PAL. It's the perfect tool for straight and diagonal line embossing on cards...and scrapbook pages too!

The latest version of the Scor-Pal scoring board has a slightly textured 12x12 scoring surface, with a raised fence at the top and on the left and right sides. Colored ruler marking on the fences are easy to see. This aligns your paper for perfect scoring. No more crooked cards!

Grooves are across the board at different intervals. The specialty grooves make card making simple:  at 4 1/4" for normal A2 cards; at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8" for gate fold cards and at 3.666" and 7.333" for brochure folding (divides 11" paper into equal thirds). In addition, there are grooves every 1/4" across the board. Between the  0 to 1" mark and 11" to 12" mark there are 1/8" grooves. By proper paper placement this will allow you to score 1/8 " increments such as 1 7/8".

When you place your card stock on the scoring surface, you are able to do multiple scores without moving the paper. Grid cards, accordion folds, boxes etc are scored in seconds. The score lines result in crisp, accurate folds!

The included scoring tool snaps into place at the top of the unit to ensure it is always at hand. It has been specially designed to fit the grooves so the the cardstock cannot be torn while scoring. Don't forget about the handy magnetized area next to the Scor-Tool storage area to hold metal brads or other items.

Want to see it in action? Check out this great video below...

You can also check out some great tips and techniques on the Scor-Pal blog. We just can't get enough of this essential tool. Have you tried out the new Scor-Pal yet?

Layout Tuesday: Blessed

Good morning, Paper Crafters! It's Tuesday, which means it's time to share a new layout with you. Today we're displaying a layout from We R Memory Keepers' Design Team using the Inked Rose Collection. This collection is one of our favorites, featuring lots of flowers and butterflies in blues and pinks. However, this layout contains NONE OF THEM. Say what?! We're going crazy over the use of the orange and grey in the collection.

The words are ripped from the Words 12x12 patterned paper. And we can't help but love the patterned paper circles coordinating with the ink splatters. So beautiful!

We Recommend: Attach Me Stickers

Hello Paper Crafters! Are we ever excited to share with you one of our favorite products. It's perfect for traditional scrapbook albums, pocket scrapbooking, mini albums, and more! Once you see how great the ATTACH ME STICKERS from BasicGrey are, you're head will be spinning with ideas.

Attach Me Stickers - Red/Pink, Black/Grey, Peacock/Aqua, Clear/White, Cream/Brown

At first glance, the Attach Me Stickers are a rather odd product. Just what do you do with them? We wondered the same thing. After a bit of research and product testing, WE'RE HOOKED.

These miracle products are translucent plastic stickers that attach to anything... seriously, anything... creating the perfect way to insert memorabilia into an album. With two stickers in four different designs in ten different colors, it's easy to find a style that fits you.

Here's a great example of how we used them in a 12x12 album. The white stickers were added to a wedding shower invitation and inserted right next to pictures from the actual event. No need to punch holes in the memorabilia, and the high quality plastic will hold up over time and multiple flips.

In the next photo, we've added grey stickers to a concert flyer. Not shown, we adhered the concert ticket (printed on a home computer) to the backside... Trimmed the paper ticket to fit the same size of the flyer and added the self-adhesive stickers to them both.

In addition to tickets and invitations, you can add die cuts, greeting cards, and photos!

This is a 6x8 mini album. We printed out a 4x6 photo and added a date and some embellishments, but just how was it going to be included in the album? With Attach Me Stickers of course! We used clear stickers, as well as adhered patterned paper to the back to hide the photo lab watermark.

The possibilities are endless! You can use one, two, or three stickers depending on the size of your album and memorabilia. Include anything and EVERYTHING. What would you add to your next album?

*Attach Me Stickers can be found in our online store here, as well as our store front at 3164 Coronet Way in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Stop in soon for more inspiration!
