Paper of the Week: Summer Treats

We're in the heart of summer, which has inspired this week's paper pick. The 12x12 double side paper is called Summer Treats and is part of Echo Park Paper's Summer Bliss Collection. Here at Creations Galore, we're in love with both sides. First, the faux grey wood. Second, images of all that makes the best part of summer - Yummy treats.

Layout Tuesday: Beach Time

Why hello there. We're so excited to bring you scrapbooking inspiration in the form of this bright and sunny layout by Gina Lideros for American Crafts. 

Gina used the #Summer Collection to create different diamond shapes. They shapes fill the 12x12 white cardstock. Two photos were cut in the same shape and placed inside, allowing the patterned paper to matte them. A few sticker and die cut pieces complete the page. Class Spotlight: July's Page of the Month Workshop

Hello! Today we're featuring a fun, monthly workshop called Page of the Month! This workshop will be held THIS Thursday, July 11th at 6:00 PM. 

For the month of July, Nicole has created two layouts using BoBunny's Key Lime collection. You'll learn beginner and advanced techniques and go home with lots of goodies. 

The layouts showed in this blog post were created with the sketches and products in July's class kit. Nicole will work with you to create unique pages that work with the size, color, and theme of your own pictures. 

Workshop highlights for July:

• Stamping on layouts
• Creative uses for vellum
• Adding dimension to stickers
• Creating titles and journaling
• Using alphabet stickers
• Adding bling to your layouts
• Date stamps and why to use them

Workshop includes:

• 2 hours of table space
• Instruction from Nicole
• Use of tools and coordinating inks and supplies
• Page sketches and instruction sheets
• Class product kit ($15 value)
• 4- 12x12 double sided patterned papers 
• 5- 12x12 colored cardstock papers
• 1- 12x12 sticker sheet
• 1- yard of rickrack
• 1- strip of rhinestones
• 6- paper Candi pieces

There's a fantastic class kit that's included in the cost of the class. Additional kits will be available after the class. However, we highly encourage you to join in the fun of the workshop. During your time, you'll learn valuable techniques and design tips, meet new people, and have access to additional tools and supplies, such as this stamp set and date stamp that coordinate perfectly with this month's projects. 

Although all project supplies are included in the cost of the class, please note this does not included your basic supplies required for all classes. Basic supplies include: Paper Trimmer, Scissors, Wet & Dry Adhesives, Dimensional Adhesive, Black Journaling Pen, and Pen and Paper for Notes.

Monthly workshops will always include 2 layouts using new products from top manufacturers, such as American Crafts, BoBunny, We R Memory Keepers, BasicGrey, & more... Class Product Kit will always be included in the cost of class and valued between $12 and $15. Additional supplies and tools will be available for use at no additional cost during the workshop.

Paper Of The Week - Summer Fun

Here at Creations Galore, we have so much paper, we're not sure you'll ever see it all. Therefore, every Friday we showcase a store favorite, giving you the opportunity to say, "Wow. They have that!?!" 

Today we're showing off a fun 12 x 12 double sided paper from Creative Imaginations. My mouth is watering just thinking of summer BBQs and juicy watermelon. The backside is reminiscent of a classic table cloth and would coordinate nicely with any of your summer parties or picnics.

Layout Tuesdays -- Thank You For Your Military Service

Thank you for joining us for Layout Tuesday. The July collection from We R Memory Keepers has made its way to our store floor, and we couldn't be more excited with its theme. Red, White, & Blue is a mixture of Fourth of July goodness and American pride, and truly is a tribute to our military servants. 

With that in mind, we created this fun layout. Whether you have a specific loved one in mind, attended a parade, or are beyond thankful for your freedoms, this layout and collection would fit. 

The journaling, as well as other embellishments, was cut out of one of the 12 x 12 double sided papers found in this collection. How true and precious are these words:

The airplane was stamped onto the layout with StazOn and is part of a set of 5 clear stamps for only $1.25! The other stamps are clouds and pennants. After stamping the airplane, I drew a line with a black ZIG Writer. Because the pennant stamps are clear, it was extremely easy to position them correctly on the drawn line. 

I stamped the solid pendant a few more times at the bottom of the layout to add the same black to the page and added this date embellishment. The embellishment was cut out from one of the 12 x 12 papers as well! 

The Red, White, & Blue collection contains these adorable mini flags. To mimic the pennants stamped on the top of the layout, I cut off the stick portion of the flag before adhering them to the page.
