Product Spotlight: Vagabond

The Sizzix Vagabond is our favorite die cutting machine. Resembling a well-traveled suitcase on the outside, the Vagabond Machine easily opens up to reveal a portable yet powerful machine that takes you to imaginative new places. Upon closer examination, the Vagabond impresses for its uncanny ability to effortlessly cut and emboss many different materials and thicknesses. The Vagabond works with the smallest dies to big 6" plastic-backed treasures and embossing tools. Can you think of anything better to bring on your creative journey?

Watch the video below to hear from product developer, Tim Holtz, and have all of your Vagabond questions answered!

Included with the Vagabond Machine is a pair of Standard Cutting Pads, as well as the Solo Platform & Shim, which makes all Sizzix components thinner than a Bigz Die compatible with the Vagabond Machine. Add a Solo-Thin Die Adapter (sold separately), and the Vagabond Machine can even work with Framelits as well as other brands' dies and embossing tools! The diagrams on the Solo Platform, Shim, and Adapter offer easy guidelines about how to make the perfect Sizzix sandwich. In addition, you can use the included sheet of stickers to customize your machine with your crafting journeys.

The Vagabond Machine measures  approximately 12 1/2" x 4 5/8" x 9" (closed) and 15 1/4" x 12 1/2" x 10 1/4" (with handle up and doors open) and features a one-year limited warranty. Available now in our online store by clicking this link

Layout Tuesday: Fall Family Photos

Hello Paper Crafters! It's Tuesday, and we're sharing a new layout with you! Today's page was made with BoBunny's Apple Cider collection. The collection is full of fall-themed colors, patterns, and sentiments. Therefore, we couldn't help but use it to document fall family photos.

A special thanks to Megan Colleen for these stunning photos of the Sponholz family, and their generosity in allowing us to use them as samples here at Creations Galore.

The 12x12 Sticker Sheets from BoBunny are one of our favorite products. There are individual letters, phrases, border strips, and images. It's an affordable way to embellish your pages.

Thanks for joining us for another Layout Tuesday. What memories are you documenting this fall?

Layout Tuesday: Love

Hello Scrapbookers! It's time for another day of inspiration with Creations Galore! Today we're sharing a layout Nicole created with the Timepiece collection by BoBunny.

This collection has gorgeous patterns that went perfectly with this old family photo. The "embellishments" for this layout were all cut out of a 12x12 patterned paper in the collection, with the exception of the butterflies, flower, and bird. Those items were created with punches from the paper collection.

Thanks for stopping by to see this week's layout choice! We hope you're having a paper-filled week!

Layout Tuesday: Life Is Sweet

Good morning Paper Crafters. It's Tuesday, which means it's time to share another layout! Today we have a cute, sentimental layout from our Creative Genius Nicole. Here's what she had to say about the layout...

This is an older photo from the cabin, and let me tell you, that morning felt anything but sweet. We all woke up before the sun rose to head out on the freezing lake and fish the morning away. But, as you can see in the journaling, the sun began to rise as we stood on the dock, and my lovely friends and their gorgeous smiles made every minute of that cold, foggy, wet, early morning perfect! You can't even tell none of us showered!

There's a few things I knew before starting the layout...
  1. The photo was my focal point. I wanted the eyes to be drawn first to the photo.
  2. There would be journaling. There are times when I want to be the only person who can find the journaling, but this was not the case. I wanted it out in the open and a main element of the page.
  3. The colors were to reflect these girls, their personalities, and the theme of the page. Rather than choosing brown and green colors and highlighting the woods where we were, I chose the bright colors in the photo that create the fun, playful mood of the journaling and the emotion I wanted to preserve.
With those in mind, I picked papers in the two bright colors of the photo and kept the embellishments to a minimum. The Xyron Sticker Maker was used to add the polka dot ribbon to the page. Simple and perfect.

I challenge you to think of the mood you want to express with your next page. Use colors, embellishments, and patterns to help you convey a unified message.

Thanks Nicole! And thank you to all of you for stopping by today. We'd love to see what you're working on this week! Leave us a link in the comments below or post a photo to our Facebook page
