Paper of the Week: Fishing Poles

It's Friday, Paper Crafters, and you know what Friday at Creations Galore means. We've got a new Paper of the Week for you! Haven't heard of Paper of the Week yet? Our store has 10,000 square feet of scrapbooking and card making techniques. We know how overwhelming that can be. Therefore, each week we choose a new paper to show off, giving you the opportunity to say, "They have that?!"

This week's pick is called Fishing Poles by Karen Foster Design. The 12x12 patterned paper features a collage of fishing poles, bait, and tackle boxes. This is perfect for all your fishing-themed pages and projects. We love it for masculine themed cards too!

Mini Album: Video + Inspiration

Good morning! Nicole, here, back with a fun project video for you. As soon as We R Memory Keepers released their Instagram Albums and Journaling Cards, I HAD to have them! As I mentioned in a previous post, these products don't need to house only Instagram photos. I chose to to use them to create a mini album of a family weekend at the cabin.

How cute are those 2x2 photos and journaling cards?! This album is truly a work in progress. I invite you to watch the video below to see it at its current stage. You'll also get a nice introduction into the the Albums Made Easy kits.

We can't get enough of this release. Stop into Creations Galore soon to see the full selection of products and start your own mini album!

Instagram Albums: Greige, Mint, Coral, Black, Gold
Photo Sleeves: 1-4x4, 4-2x2

Video Tutorial: Partial Die Cutting

Good morning! Nicole, here, with a fun video walking you through a fun technique that I've explored recently on cards. I first saw this technique used by Jennifer McGuire. That woman always has great ideas!

In the video, I use partial die cutting to create the card above. Only a portion of the hello cut through the cardstock, allowing the die cut to stay attached to the card front. A piece of patterned paper from We R Memory Keepers' Farmers Market Collection shows through the open space. See more below:

To complete the card, I wrote a line with a black marker, stamped a cute sentiment from My Favorite Things, and added bling from Studio Calico. A quick and fun card!

Thank you for joining us for today's video tutorial. Give partial die cutting a try... The ideas are endless!
