A Week In Review - Albums Made Easy Sample & NEW Workshop

Hello paper crafters! Here at Creations Galore we're in love with the Albums Made Easy and Project Life systems! You can see a collection of our AME posts by clicking here

For this style of scrapbooking, we used a two page spread to document one week of the year - Resulting in 52 spreads of precious pictures and memorabilia. You can find the left side pocket protector here and the right side pocket protector here. This system makes it so easy to mix and match all the different protectors for a custom album. All cards and pockets are 3x4 and 4x6.

Inside each pocket is a journaling card, grid card, or cardstock card from the Webster collection by We R Memory Keepers. The collection has more cards than you'll need to fill all of the pockets; therefore, I cut up quite a few for this layout to use as tabs and photo mattes.

Most of the journaling is handwritten, but I also added in a few dates and words with stamps. The arrow was stamped onto a patterned card, cut out, and adhered to the page to highlight a picture.

In addition to the WRMK system, I added some Doodlebug sticker letters, leftover bling, and Studio Calico wood veneers.

I'd love to show you many more techniques, as well as help you create a customized album that fits your personality and life! Join me THIS SATURDAY, August 3rd at 10:00 AM for a Albums Made Easy/Project Life Workshop. The class is just $20 - All products (and an amazing class kit full of goodies) are included. You'll even receive a 15% discount the day of the class. Learn more and register by clicking this link.

Layout Tuesday: Scrapbooking with the Albums Made Easy System

Hello bloggers! This Tuesday, Nicole is bringing you a few layouts using We R Memory Keepers Album Made Easy System. Here's what she had to say about this collection of products:

I'm in love with the Albums Made Easy system. With the different page protectors and journaling cards, it's easy to create a unique album. I enjoy mixing traditional layouts with the page protectors and have put together a few samples for you today. I hope you'll find inspiration to simplify your own record keeping!

In college, a group of my friends and I would travel to a summer music festival held in July every year. For about 6 years in a row, we camped out for 5 days and rocked our faces off. To document our first year at the festival, I created a traditional layout with a group picture.

I used several of the Albums Made Easy journaling cards from the Memo collection on the layout. In fact, the green cardstock matting the photo and the 12x12 white cardstock are the only papers that are not journaling cards! It was easy to layer them onto the page. I even cut the date tab off the top of one card and used the remainder of it for the red strip in the top left corner. The paper triangle in the same spot and the strip on the bottom right corner are a cut up 4x6 journaling card as well.

After the traditional layout, I chose to use the We R Memory Keepers photo sleeves to document the individual days. I plan to use one side for each day. This sleeve documents the first day, which actually was only tent setup and a night concert. This year I arrived late and missed the set up (no pictures). But it rained and rained and rained. It was fun to finally document these memories in a fun way.

I never scrapped these photos, because I wasn't sure how I wanted to document so many pictures from 5 days of events! This really helped me break up the different parts of the day. I have several "titles" and journaling spots. Each pocket has potential to be a mini layout with a new idea, but keeping it in the same color scheme helps unify the entire spread. With their pre-made "kits" (I used Memo), the guess work of color and patterns is eliminated!

Spot a weird date? Sorry! I always date my sample layouts that hang in the store with a future year. I can't get enough of the American Crafts date stamps. Get your hands on one, or two, or fourteen. But date your layouts properly!

I tried to keep the embellishments simple, deciding to add a single Studio Calico wood veneer and a few BasicGrey sticker letters. For this project, you really only NEED photos and a journaling pen. If you choose to make your photos a little smaller than the pockets (like I have) add adhesive to your list. Easy as can be! And fast too!

Thanks Nicole! Interested in learning more techniques and tricks using the Albums Made Easy System? We invite you to attend one of my upcoming classes. Included in the class is a great kit full of cards, paper, and page protectors to help you get started! Sign up today!

Creations Galore Gal, Megan Daul: Albums Made Easy

Hello crafters! Are you ready to see some projects from Creations Galore's talented customers? Today we're showcasing a gorgeous layout from Megan Daul. Megan, from Green Bay, WI, has attended a few classes at the store, as well as being a regular at our Crop Nights. You can find her blogging about her creations at Creative Happiness.

How fun is this layout? Megan started off with a traditional page on the left hand side using cardstock and patterned papers. She then added an Albums Made Easy page by We R Memory Keepers to quickly create two more pages! Here the flip side of the Album Made Easy page:

We just have to bring attention to some of the wonderful details these pages hold.

This cute tree was cut from the AccuCut die cutting tool available to our customer's in our Crop Room. She decorated the die cut with Lime Green and Cinnamon Stickles.

Take a look at Megan's blog, and you will see that she loves to add ribbons to her pages. Here she added some Baker's Twine with Glossy Accents.

Megan brought some dimension to each layer of paper by outlining the edges with brown ink. She even brought the glittery buttons to life by adding brown floss. You'll find glitter in another part of her page - the title! Megan used Thickers from American Crafts, another Creations Galore favorite.

Lastly, we want to point out the fun details she added to the Albums Made Easy page. Megan cut kraft paper with a Spellbinders Die. She then stamped some beautiful trees with brown ink and accented them with the Stickles again. So clever! We love how she incorporated stamping into her scrapbook pages.

A big thank you to Megan for sharing this great layout with us. Don't forget to comment below or head to her blog and leave her some love!

We'd love to feature your paper crafting projects on our blog! What have you been creating in our classes, during our crops, or with products purchased at Creations Galore? Send your project to nicolelaha{at]gmail{dot}com or stop into the store at 3164 Coronet Way in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
