Customer Spotlight: DIY Valentine's with the Silhouette

It's been too long since our last Customer Spotlight post, so here we are today with a fun project made by Creations Galore Gal, Becky Gromala.

How cute is that?! Becky made these Valentine's for her son, Ian, and we're positive all of his classmates will go crazy over them! She started with the treat bags sold here at Creations Galore. It's the perfect size for favors, Valentines, and thank you gifts. Next, she folded a piece of American Crafts cardstock in half, wrapping it around the bag and stapling it in place. We love the space paper by Reminisce Becky added to the cardstock.

But what about those adorable stars?! Becky used the Silhouette Cameo and Pen Holder to easily create the illusion of a handwritten note. The Silhouette machine cut out all of the star shapes. She was able to create 12 stars from a 12x12 piece of cardstock.

Before lifting the die cut stars off the mat, Becky replaced the Silhouette's blade with a pen to sketch instead of cut. The Silhouette pen holder can be used in any of the Silhouette electronic cutting tools and will hold most ballpoint pens. Becky slipped in a blue pen, chose her font and phrase, and the Silhouette did the rest!

You can achieve this same look with the Silhouette Sketch Pens too! We love this affordable starter kit now available at Creations Galore. Simply replace the blade with one of the specialty sketch pens, and begin doodling all over your project! The pens come in basic colors, metallic, and glitter!

Thanks Becky for the great idea! We can't wait to create our own!
