This Week's Make N Takes
Stop into Creations Galore between Monday, January 24th and Saturday, January 29th to make three handmade cards and learn some new techniques! We're showing blending techniques with Copic markers, as well as some fun tricks with the Copic Colorless Blender.
The Colorless Blender has a misleading name. The blender will not blend but instead, separate and lighten color. The blender moves color similar to you pushing your hand forward in a sandbox. Keeping this in mind, you can fix mistakes. Once the color is dry, use the chisel end of the marker to push any color back in the lines!
You can also lighten any color that you think is too dark, add texture, or create highlights - as shown in this Make-N-Take. After coloring the image, we've drawn a line with the Colorless blender at the tip of the bear's nose, along the edge of the pot, and a small bit on the ladybug (where the light source first hits the image). This adds more depth to your image.
Stop in today to try Copic Markers and the Colorless Blender for yourself!
