Scrapbooking Prompt: A New View

While on your summer travels, try to take a photo or two from a new angle. It's so easy to get caught up with posed photos of people, but don't forget the tiny details. In today's example, you'll see the photographer is sitting back allowing the viewer to see luggage, the tent and air mattress, and of course a beautiful view of the campsite. 

Recreate this image if you're planning a camping trip, but seek out other opportunities to capture your surroundings from a new point of view. Photograph your child or their room, including the door and entryway in your shot. Place your camera or phone inside the mailbox and use the self timer to take a photo of your family picking up the mail or peering inside. We can't wait to see what you capture!

Current Make N Takes: July 5-9

How was your Fourth of July? We hope it was a happy and safe one. We're back in the shop after the long holiday weekend with three new Make N Takes for you to create.

Haven't heard about our Make N Takes? Each week Creations Galore offers three new, gorgeous cards for you to create. Each card is only $2 and includes all the tools and materials needed to create it. Just bring along your own adhesive. This is perfect for beginner to advanced card makers. It's self paced with step-by-step instructions, someone is on hand to demonstrate if needed, and it always includes new products and techniques for everyone to try!

Fall Scrapbook Retreat 2016: October 14-16

We're so excited for today's announcement and know you will be too. Save the date for our upcoming Fall Scrapbooking Retreat at Peshtigo River Resort in Crivitz, Wisconsin. We can't wait to experience the gorgeous scenery and have a relaxing, fun, and crafty weekend. Won't you join us?

Our group will be scrapbooking in the Black Bear Hall, a new 5,400 square foot facility. The space includes:

• 24 hour access
• 9 large bay windows providing natural lighting
• Commercial kitchen with cookware and dinnerware 
• Fireplace and seating area
• Bathrooms
• Bar and snack area with additional fridge
• Coat room and office
• Audio system and small television 

Groups of 4 (to 6 if desired) will occupy waterfront condos near the hall. Each has a unique theme and offers a spectacular view of the Peshtigo River. For larger groups, hotel-style connecting units are available, creating a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite. Please note, Creations Galore will make arrangements for and combine individuals and groups smaller than 4.

Condo amenities include: 

• Bedrooms with 1 king or queen bed and 2 twin beds
• Pull out couch in living room
• Full kitchen with dinnerware and cookware
• Private patio 
• Wifi internet, TV, DVD and VHS players
• Movies, games, and puzzles
• Central air conditioning and heating
• Linens and towels

Additional property amenities: 

• Outside gathering area with picnic tables
• Onsite laundromat ($1 per load, laundry soap free of charge)
